Dr Amarpreet Singh Kanwar

Dr Amarpreet Singh Kanwar graduated from India in 1993.


In India, he worked in emergency and orthopedics for 2 years and then worked in General Practice for 11 years.


He moved to Australia in 2009 and started working as a General Practitioner in Gladstone in central Queensland. He worked in Gladstone for 5 years and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.


Dr Amarpreet's interest is in family medicine, men's health and chronic disease management.


Dr Amarpreet is also here permanently.

Dr Jaspreet Kaur Kanwar

Dr Jaspreet Kaur Kanwar graduated from India in 1996 and worked in India in general practice in rural as well as urban setting for 10 years before moving to Australia with her family in 2009.


She commenced as a General Practitioner in Gladstone in central Queensland in 2010 and worked there for 4 years and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.


She enjoys the family based aspect of general practice and has a special interest in women's health.



Dr Guy Gentle

Dr Guy Gentle graduated from Medicine at Griffith University (Gold Coast) in 2010.  He completed his general practice fellowship with the RACGP in 2017.


Dr Gentle is interested in family orientated medicine and has an interest in skin checks and skin cancer procedures.  He joined the @MyDoctorsCoomera team in January 2019.

Paul Clark is a Podiatrist who specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of pain in the foot, ankle and lower limb. Paul has worked amongst multidisciplinary clinical settings including GP’s, Podiatric Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons & Specialists, Chronic disease specialists and Podiatrists who specialise in Biomechanics and orthoses manufacturing and modifications.


 Paul is a graduate of the University of Newcastle, New South Wales.


Paul has a reputation for being particularly skilled and precise with a scalpel. His professional clinical interests include but are not limited to:


  • Toe nail surgeries (both PNA/TNA with matrix phenolisation)
  • Achilles Tendonopathies (Trained in shockwave therapy)
  • Ankle pathologies (Sprains, nerve impingements and tarsal coalitions)

Mathew Heilig

Mathew is a Registered Psychologist who completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. Mathew has experience in working across the lifespan with various presentations including anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, grief and loss, emotion regulation, behaviour management, and health behaviour change. Mathew has experience working with both individuals and groups.


Mathew has particular interests in working with adults whom are experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, and co-morbid chronic health issues and their management.


In addition to working with individuals in a private practice setting, Mathew works part-time in a hospital facilitating skill-based CBT groups for anxiety and mood disorders, as well as skill-based DBT groups for borderline personality disorder.


Mathew approaches his work with clients in a collaborative manner, working with the client to achieve their therapeutic goals. Mathew is non-judgemental, warm, and enthusiastic in his approach and practises from CBT, DBT, and Schema therapy modalities.
